Nigel Semaj
Adapter/Playwright/Choreographer
Nigel is a director and choreographer whose work centers adaptation and movement. Their reimaginings include 10,000 Moor, For Hylas, and Call Me By Any Other Name…Just As Sweet. Their choreography blends language and gesture, with credits across theatre, opera, and film, including Fidelio and Slime. Upcoming includes the serpent under’t an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. They are the inaugural artist-in-residence at the SNF Agora Insitute at Johns Hopkins University, where they arre working on a new adaptation of Henril Ibsen’s An Enemy of The People.

JANE SKAPEK
Director
Jane is a theatre and film director based in NYC. Selected works developed at the Tank, BRIC, Ars Nova, & Target Margin. Their multimedia performance piece, exit strategy/sema debuted internationally this past summer in Amsterdam. Selected assistant/associate credits include Girls & Boys (Off-Broadway) and Angel in America (Broadway 2018), MFA The New School.

Morgan Decker (She/Her)
Production Stage Manager
Morgan is a Baltimore based Stage Manager originally from Carroll County, MD. She currently is a Senior at UMBC studying Theatre Design and Production. This is her first professional production as a Stage Manager. Her previous stage management work at UMBC includes shOUT: The Queer Theatre Project, Slime, and Stupid F*cking Bird. Her work on Slime by Bryony Lavery, got her a Merit of Excellence Award from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Outside of UMBC, she is the choreographer for a children's theatre company, Constellations Theatre.

Juan is a Lighting Designer and technician based in the Baltimore-Washington area. As an immigrant, queer, Mexican artist, he has a passion for cultivating art that bridges the gap between cultures, elevates underrepresented voices, and inspires dialogue.

Malaak is a junior pursuing dual degrees in Theatre Design & Production and Environmental Science & Geography at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. At UMBC they are currently the Head Electrician for Shakespeare in Harlem and have been the Stage Manager for in the darkest forest, Lighting Designer for I’ll Follow Tomorrow, and Spotlight Operator for Stupid F*cking Bird, and recent roles elsewhere include Electrician and Deck Crew for Salty (Truepenny Projects), Stage Manager for Sweeney Todd (Ovations Theatre), Assistant Lighting Designer for Alice By Heart (Wildwood Summer Theatre), and Lighting Designer and Assistant Stage Manager for Legally Blonde (UMBC Musical Theatre Club). -

Becca Janney Professional credits include: Next to Normal (BSC), Little Women (SSMT), Cinderella, A Salsa Fairytale (Imagination Stage), Everything is Wonderful (WTT), and Ada and the Engine (Stage West). Educational credits include: King John, Shrew (STC Classical Academy), Don Giovanni (Maryland Opera Studio).

Taylor is a senior at UMBC studying Environmental Science and Theatre Design. This is their third costume production and first time working at The Voxel. Taylor I continues to explore the intersection of art and sustainability through this her studies.

TESSARA MORGAN - FARLEY
World Designer
Originally from Minnesota, Tessara Morgan Farley is a freelance theater artist living and working in Baltimore. She enjoys creating fantastical new work in small spaces with local artists on a tight budget. Since moving to Baltimore in 2017, she has worked with Acme Corp., Single Carrot, Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, Silver Spring Stage, BROS, Submersive Productions and more. She is also a co-founder and Theater Producer of Truepenny Projects. During the day, Tessara is the Director of Production at The Voxel.

LUKE FARLEY
World Designer
Originally from New Jersey, Luke Farley has been a Baltimore based artist since 2017. In 2019, he graduated with an MFA in Painting from the LeRoy E. Hoffberger School at MICA. Mainly working in painting, his work has been shown around the United States. Farley is a co-founder of the interdisciplinary arts organization, Truepenny Projects. As a curator and designer, his productions include the world building for “Lyra and the Ferocious Beast” and curation in “Mark and Signal” at Zo Gallery, among others.

Adam has an extensive theatre background and has been building and lighting sets for 10 and 7 years respectively. He never strays from a challenge and looks for creative solutions to problems. They are currently in their 4th year persuing two degrees at UMBC in Theatre Design and Production and Mechanical Engineering. -

Jay is an audiovisual artist and technician based in the DMV area. Recent work includes Theater J: Berlin Diaries, The Hatmaker’s Wife. Chesapeake Shakespeare Company: Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. Education: B.A. in Theatre Production from University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
